| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of King George II facing left, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the laurel wreath, flowing wig, and robed drapery at the truncation. The effigy, engraved by John Croker, displays the king in a youthful portrait style characteristic of the early Hanoverian series. The Latin legend runs continuously around the periphery, separated from the bust by an open field. The coin exhibits a milled edge and a fine inner border of raised beads framing the design. |
