| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by a quartered heraldic shield bearing the combined arms of Austria-Burgundy, displaying lions, a fess, and fleurs-de-lis among other charges, filling nearly the entire flan. The shield is set within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by a Gothic uncial legend reading the titles of Philip as Archduke of Austria, Burgundy, and Brabant. The legend is punctuated by small crosses and features a crowned initial and a hand device as separators. The overall style is characteristic of late-fifteenth-century Burgundian Low Countries hammered billon coinage. |

| Opschrift voorzijde | (crown) Ph`I ARChIDVS AVSTRIE BVRG BRAB (hand) (punctuation by small crosses) (Translation: Philip, Archduke of Austria, Burgundy and Brabant) |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold long cross pattee divides the reverse field into four equal quarters, its arms extending to a beaded inner circle and intersecting the surrounding legend. The quarters of the cross are plain and slightly concave, giving the design a simple yet imposing appearance. The circumferential Gothic uncial legend, running between two beaded circles, records the name and title of Maximilian, King of the Romans, as regent and father, together with the date 1490. The overall composition is typical of the Burgundian four-mite denomination struck under the joint regency of Maximilian I. |
