Reverse description The reverse displays a plain long cross extending to the beaded inner border, dividing the field into four equal quadrants. The circumferential legend in uncial Latin script reads SIT NOME DNI BENEDICT, a pious invocation meaning 'Blessed be the name of the Lord.' The cross is boldly struck and unadorned, consistent with the utilitarian character of this small billon denomination. Beaded borders frame both the inner circle and the outer edge of the coin. The hammered flan shows characteristic irregularity at the edges.
