| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate and draped bust of Charles II facing right, rendered in high relief with long flowing hair characteristic of the Restoration period. A thistle mintmark or ornament appears below the bust at the base of the truncation. The portrait is executed in a bold baroque style typical of Scottish milled coinage of the 1660s–1670s. The peripheral legend is separated from the inner field by a beaded border running along the coin's rim. |
