| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed on firm white paper in dark blue and dark green over a dusky rose-pink underprint, the obverse centres on a bold woodcut-style vignette of a blindfolded female allegorical figure of Justice holding an upright sword in her left hand and a balance scale in her right, flanked by stone tablets and a fasces-like axe at her feet. The large Gothic blackletter denomination 'VIER MARK' spans the lower field on either side of the central figure, with the year '1921' in white numerals across the top corners. Ribbon banners reading 'SPENDE' and 'FÜR DIE' appear to the upper left and right respectively, while a curved scroll at the base carries the organisation name, and the imprint of the printer appears in small type along the bottom margin. |

The Liga zum Schutze der Deutschen Kultur — League for the Protection of German Culture — was a nationalist organization active in the early Weimar period, and this Sachsen branch scrip from 1921 belongs to a peculiar category of German notgeld: politically motivated private issues rather than emergency municipal currency. By 1921 the acute coin shortage that had spawned most German notgeld was easing, yet ideologically-aligned organizations continued issuing their own paper, partly as fundraising instruments, partly as propaganda in circulation.
Rats-Druckerei R. Dulce in Glauchau was a regional commercial printer with no particular profile in the notgeld trade. The DeNG reference places two known variants in this issue.
