| Aanvullende informatie |
Johan, Duke of Östergötland was the son of Karl IX and a half-brother to Gustav II Adolf, granted the duchy as an appanage in 1606. His right to issue coin was a feudal privilege increasingly at odds with Swedish centralization efforts; within a generation, such autonomous ducal coinage would be effectively eliminated. The Type II designation for this 1613 issue reflects a die modification, distinguished from Type I in the KM listing under the same year.
