Obverse description Large crowned royal cypher of Frederik III occupies the central field, partially enclosed within a beaded circle. The cypher is rendered in an ornate interlaced style characteristic of mid-17th century Danish coinage. The peripheral legend, set outside the beaded circle, states the denomination in Danish and is terminated by the date. The overall composition is bold and symmetrical, with the crown surmounting the monogram as a mark of royal authority.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description A crowned ornate oval cartouche bearing the arms of Denmark is centrally positioned, partially within a beaded circle. Behind the shield, a cross with short straight-sided triangular arms radiates outward in cruciform fashion, a design element typical of Danish regal coinage of this period. The mint mark appears to the right of the crown surmounting the shield. The royal motto encircles the composition outside the beaded border, evoking piety and divine guidance.
