| Obverse description | Large crowned royal cypher of Frederik III occupies the central field, partially enclosed within a beaded circle. The cypher is rendered in an ornate interlaced style characteristic of mid-17th century Danish coinage. The peripheral legend, set outside the beaded circle, states the denomination in Danish and is terminated by the date. The overall composition is bold and symmetrical, with the crown surmounting the monogram as a mark of royal authority. |
