| Obverse description | Large crowned royal cypher of Frederik III occupies the central field, partially enclosed within a beaded circle. The cypher is rendered in an ornate interlaced style characteristic of mid-17th century Danish coinage. The peripheral legend, set outside the beaded circle, states the denomination in Danish and is terminated by the date.
