Reverse description Within an inner circle, the crowned Danish coat of arms — comprising the quartered shield with lions, hearts, and the lion of the Oldenburg dynasty — is displayed above a cross. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown. The surrounding legend, reading clockwise from the right of the crown, states the denomination in Danish and is terminated by the date. The overall composition reflects the baroque heraldic style characteristic of mid-to-late 17th-century Danish coinage.
