Obverse description Central device features the crowned, interlaced double cypher of King Christian V in mirror monogram form, enclosed within two crossed palm branches tied at their base. The Glückstadt mint mark appears below the knot of the palm branches, within the field. The overall design is executed in high relief with fine baroque detail characteristic of late 17th-century Danish coinage. No legend encircles the obverse, the monogram and palm branches occupying the full field beneath the royal crown.
