Reverse description Central device depicts the crowned Danish lion rampant, holding a halberd in its right forepaw, set within a wreath of laurel and oak branches tied at the base. A large royal crown surmounts the composition at the top of the field. The mint-master's initials 'P' and 'G' flank the lion at mid-field, to the left and right respectively. The denomination '4 M' and the mint mark 'D' (for Danish mint) appear in the lower exergue, inscribed on crossed palm branches. The design is rendered in a refined baroque style with strong relief.
