Obverse description Central field features a raised circular cartouche bearing the denomination inscription in four lines: IIII / MARIEN / GROSCH / F.SILB., followed by the date 1787 and the Clausthal mint mark C below. Decorative six-pointed rosettes flank the IIII numeral. The surrounding legend, reading CAROLVS . GVILIELMVS . FERDINANDVS, runs along the inner border of the coin in Latin script. The outer rim displays a fine milled edge, lending the piece a clean, disciplined finish consistent with late 18th-century German minting standards.
