Obverse description Central field dominated by the crowned royal cipher of Philip V, comprising the interlaced letters 'P' and 'S' (Philippus/Philip V) surmounted by an open royal crown adorned with fleurs-de-lis, reflecting the Bourbon dynastic heritage. Two fleurs-de-lis flank the monogram at either side within the field. Below the cipher, the mint mark 'M' (Madrid) or 'S' (Seville) appears alongside the denomination numeral '4'. The peripheral legend reads HISPANIARVM REX, separated by floral rosette stops, within a milled border.
