| Reverse description | Central design features the Cross of Don Pelayo, a plain Greek cross with splayed ends, superimposed on a quartered shield displaying alternating castles and rampant lions representing the kingdoms of Castile and León respectively. At the centre of the cross an oval cartouche contains three fleurs-de-lis, the dynastic emblem of the Bourbon house. The entire device is encircled by a laurel and oak wreath tied at the base. The field is plain and the coin is bordered by a beaded rim consistent with the obverse. |
