Obverse description Central field dominated by the crowned royal cypher of Felipe IV, formed by an interlaced 'F' and 'P' monogram surmounted by a royal crown with fleurs-de-lis. The denomination numeral IIII appears to the left of the monogram, and the mint mark is placed below. The entire design is applied as a countermark stamp on the host coin planchet, resulting in an irregular, somewhat roughly struck impression typical of the 1658 resellos coinage reform.
