| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned royal monogram of Charles and Joanna (F and A intertwined), enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The monogram is surmounted by a Gothic crown. A partial circular legend in Latin runs along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular in shape, characteristic of hammered coinage of the period, with areas of green patination visible on the copper surfaces. |
