Obverse description Central field features the elaborate interlaced script monogram 'JP' (for Johann Philipp) flanked on either side by the hanging tassels of a cardinal's galero hat, which is depicted above the monogram. The surrounding legend reads CARDINAL DE LAMBERG JOAN PHIL., identifying the issuing bishop. The overall composition is rendered in a refined Baroque style typical of early 18th-century German ecclesiastical coinage.
