Obverse description The central field displays the Hungarian royal coat of arms — a divided shield bearing the traditional Árpád stripes on the dexter side and the apostolic double cross on a mount on the sinister side — surmounted by the Holy Crown of Saint Stephen. Two winged angels in flowing robes serve as supporters, each kneeling to either side of the shield and raising their hands toward the crown above. An open laurel and olive branch wreath frames the lower portion of the design. The circular legend MAGYAR KIRÁLYI VÁLTÓ PÉNZ (Hungarian Royal Exchange Money) runs along the upper periphery in Latin characters, enclosed within a beaded border.
