Obverse description Quartered heraldic shield occupying the central field, displaying the arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg (a rampant lion) impaled with those of the Keutschach family (a turnip), with the initial letter L at the base of the shield. The date 1500 appears above the shield within an inner beaded circle. A Gothic legend in Latin runs along the outer margin, reading LEONARD ARCHIEPI SALZ (with known variations), enclosed between two beaded borders.
