| Reverse description | Central field features two lines of Arabic calligraphic inscription stating the mint name and the AH regnal year of issue, enclosed within an ornate cartouche or shield-shaped frame. A decorative knotwork or geometric ornament appears at the top of the cartouche. The legend reads: 'Struck in Tunis' followed by the four-digit Hijri date. The cartouche is flanked by curved foliate or plain borders, and the whole design is surrounded by a beaded or reeded outer border consistent with the obverse. |
