The inscription reads 'Al-Sultan al-A'zam Qutb al-Dunya wa'l-Din' (The Most Exalted Sultan, Pole of the World and of the Faith), serving as the principal regal titulature of Qutb al-Din Mubarak Shah. No border or decorative framing device is present, consistent with the hammered billon coinage of the early Khalji period. The die is slightly off-centre, characteristic of the irregular flan preparation typical of this denomination. The relief of the lettering is bold and well-struck relative to the small module. |
