Qutb al-Din Mubarak Shah's reign lasted just four years before he was murdered by his own favorite, Khusraw Khan, in 1320 — the last Khilji sultan, killed by the man he had elevated from slave to co-ruler. His coinage is correspondingly scarce, struck across a dynasty already in terminal political collapse following his father Alauddin's death.
The billon content here is negligible — effectively a copper coin with a silver wash — reflecting the progressive debasement of the gani denomination across the later Khilji period.
