| Beschrijving voorzijde | At center, the oval shield of the Canton of Fribourg — divided per fess, the upper half hatched (sable) and the lower half plain (argent) — is set within an ornate oval wreath of laurel or olive sprigs tied at the base. The shield is surmounted by a large mural or civic crown rendered in high relief. The two-part cantonal inscription CANTON and FREYBURG appears in the left and right fields respectively, disposed vertically along the rim. The date 1813 is inscribed in the lower exergual area beneath the wreath, followed by a stop. The coin is struck with a finely milled border. |

His left hand rests upon an oval shield inscribed XIX CANT., while his right hand holds a long sword, point downward, at his side. He stands upon a plain horizontal ground line. The denomination 4. FRANKN. appears in the lower exergue. The circular legend SCHWEIZERE. EIDSGENOSST. is disposed around the periphery, divided left and right, with stops separating the abbreviated words. A milled border frames the entire design. |
