| 背面描述 | Central circle containing the large Arabic numeral '٤' (4) above the word 'فلس' (Fils), surrounded by radiating segments that divide the surrounding legend. The inscription 'المملكة العراقية' (Kingdom of Iraq) is distributed around the periphery in the upper and lower arcs, while the dual dates — the Hijri year '١٣٦٢' to the right and the Common Era year '١٩٤٣' to the left — appear in the lateral segments flanking the central roundel. The overall design fully exploits the twelve-notch scalloped shape of the flan. |

This wartime issue was struck in Bombay under British authority — Iraq's coinage was produced in India throughout the early 1940s because the Royal Mint was consumed by war production and enemy action had disrupted normal arrangements. Faisal II was nine years old in 1943, four years into a regency following his father Ghazi's death in a disputed car accident that many Iraqis blamed on the British.
The 1941 Anglo-Iraqi War and subsequent British reoccupation cast a long shadow over this coin's production year.
