4 Euros Croatian Coldblood

Croatia adopted the euro in January 2023, replacing the kuna after three decades. The Croatian National Bank retained the right to issue collector coins denominated in euros, and this piece belongs to that program — national themes repackaged in the new currency. The Coldblood horse, a heavy draft breed developed in the region during the 19th century through crosses with Noriker and other continental stock, remains closely associated with agricultural Croatia despite its near-disappearance in the late 20th century.

The 4-euro denomination has no circulation equivalent anywhere in the eurozone.
