| Obverse description | Uniformed 'imaginary' draped and epauletted bust of Fernando VII facing right, rendered in a stylized manner by local Lima Mint engravers who had no actual likeness of the king. The truncation shows military dress with a high ribbed collar and decorative epaulette. The surrounding legend arcs from lower left to upper right, with the date divided at the base of the bust below. The portrait, characteristic of the imaginary bust series, exhibits a notably idealized and somewhat primitive artistic style distinct from Madrid-produced effigies. |
