| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of King Fernando VII facing right, wearing a military uniform with epaulettes and a cravat, the portrait rendered in the neoclassical style characteristic of the Mexico City Mint. The circular legend arcs around the effigy, with the date 1810 positioned in the lower exergual area flanked by pellets. The coin displays a toothed border (grenetis) along the entire periphery. |

| Reverse description | The crowned quartered shield of Spain, displaying the castles of Castile and lions of León in alternating quarters, with the pomegranate of Granada in base and the fleur-de-lis of the House of Bourbon in the center escutcheon, surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is encircled by a decorative chain composed of floral links, with the denomination numeral 4 to the left and the assayer initial S to the right of the shield. The mint mark Mo and assayer initials HJ appear in the lower field. The circular legend IN•UTROQ•FELIX• •AUSPICE•DEO surrounds the design, and a toothed border frames the entire reverse. |
