| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Fernando VI facing right, wearing a full-bottomed curled wig, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the cuirass and lace cravat. The effigy is relatively small in proportion to the field, a characteristic of this early milled series. The encircling Latin legend is separated from the bust by a plain inner field, with the mint date appearing in the lower exergual area flanked by rosette stops. The coin's milled border features a continuous reeded edge visible at the periphery. |

| Reverse description | The crowned arms of Spain occupy the central field, displaying the quartered royal shield with castles of Castile and lions of León in the principal quarters, the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty in the inescutcheon, and additional heraldic charges in the lower quarters. A large ornate imperial crown surmounts the shield, rendered in fine detail with arches and orb. The mint mark and assayer initials appear in the lower field flanked by rosette stops, with no denomination indicated on this type. The encircling Latin motto legend runs continuously around the periphery. |
