Reverse description A bold Jerusalem cross with lions and castles in the four quadrants, contained within a stylized quatrefoil (quadrilobe) frame, all rendered in high relief characteristic of the Segovia roller-milled coinage. The date 1683 appears prominently in the upper portion of the surrounding legend, with the full circular inscription HISPANIARVM · REX distributed around the periphery. The overall design follows the standard milled-gold escudo type introduced under the Spanish Habsburgs, exhibiting fine engraving consistent with the Segovia mint's screw and roller press production.
