Obverse description Conjoined busts of King Alexander I and Queen Maria facing left in high relief, the King depicted to the right in military uniform adorned with decorations, the Queen to the left wearing an ornate crown. The Cyrillic legend КРАЉ АЛЕКСАНДАР I. КРАЉИЦА МАРИЈА arcs along the upper periphery, while the mint name КОВНИЦА А.Д. appears in small lettering at the lower field near the truncation. The portraits are rendered in a detailed, medallic style characteristic of the interwar period. The flat, polished field surrounding the effigies contrasts sharply with the finely engraved details of the royal busts.
