| Reverse description | Seven-line commemorative inscription in Latin recording the key dates in the life of Elector John William II, set within the field without a surrounding border legend. The text records his birth on 19 April 1658, his accession as Duke of Jülich and Berg in 1678, his elevation as Elector Palatine in 1690, his appointment as Archduke of the Holy Roman Empire in 1708, his role as Vicar in 1711, and his death on 8 June 1716. A small crown device appears above the inscription, and star or cross ornaments frame the text at top and bottom. |
