| Reverse description | Square klippe reverse centered on an elaborate royal crown rendered in high relief, richly detailed with arches, orbs, and foliate decoration. Beneath the crown, a cartouche bears the personal motto TANDEM (meaning 'At Last'), referencing Frederik III's eventual accession to the throne. The Latin legend NORWEGIÆ VANDALORVM GOTTORVM QVE REX TANDEM runs along the four borders of the square field, continuing the royal titulature from the obverse. A raised inner border frames the central device throughout. |
