Obverse description Crowned bust of Ferdinand II facing left, wearing an elaborate jewelled crown and a draped collar, rendered in the late Gothic style characteristic of Iberian hammered gold coinage. The portrait displays finely engraved hair falling to the shoulder and a detailed neckline ornament. The effigy is contained within a raised inner beaded border.
