Opmerkingen

Gabrisnote is the personal fantasy note project of Slovak designer and collector Matej Gabris, whose output sits somewhere between novelty art print and collector's item. Optys Printing House, a Czech commercial printer with a solid reputation in specialty print runs, handles the physical production — the pairing gives these pieces a finish that puts them well above the average hobbyist fantasy note.

The "doubloon" denomination is a nod to the Spanish gold coin of the colonial era, the currency that made the Caribbean worth fighting over. Bartholomew Roberts — "Black Bart" — was the most prolific pirate of the Golden Age by captured prizes, taking over 400 vessels between 1719 and his death in battle off Cape Lopez in 1722.
