Reverse description Quartered crowned coat of arms of the Farnese-Bourbon dynasty of Parma, displaying the heraldic divisions of Castile, León, France (fleurs-de-lis), and the Farnese lily, with an inescutcheon at center, the whole surmounted by a ducal crown and flanked by crossed palm and olive branches tied at the base. The circumferential Latin legend D · G · PARMÆ PLAC · ET VAST · DVX, proclaiming Fernando's ducal title by the grace of God over Parma, Piacenza, and Guastalla, is interrupted by the date and mint mark S, with the date 1787 appearing to the left and the initials D G S flanking the legend to the right. A fine toothed rim borders the design.
