| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of Barbados centrally positioned in the field, comprising a shield bearing a bearded fig tree and two Pride of Barbados flowers, supported on the dexter side by a dolphin (depicted as a sea creature) and on the sinister side by a pelican. Above the shield rises a helmet with mantling and a crest depicting an arm holding two crossed pieces of sugarcane. Below the shield, a scroll bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY.
