正面描述	Black intaglio-printed note with the bank title 'THE CANADIAN BANK OF COMMERCE' arched across the upper field and the denomination 'FOUR DOLLARS' in bold letterpress at centre, flanked by numeral '4' counters at each upper corner. The central vignette presents a pastoral cattle scene with a cow and calf in a farmyard landscape, while the left vignette bears a seated woman with a child. The note carries the place and date inscription 'TORONTO' with a manuscript date, two manuscript signatures of the Cashier and President, and a capital statement at the lower margin, all within an ornate lathe-work guilloche border.
