| Obverse description | Half-length frontal figure of the Madonna, depicted enthroned and holding the Christ Child, occupying the central field of the coin. The figure is rendered in low relief in the devotional style typical of Genoese republican coinage of the mid-18th century. A beaded inner border frames the entire design, with the heavily worn field showing the characteristic dark patina of a billon alloy piece in circulation. |
