Above the numeral, a Tudor-style royal crown surmounts the design, with the word PENCE visible on a scroll beneath it. The central motif is framed by two symmetrical sprays of olive or laurel branches tied at the base, in direct homage to the classic British Maundy coinage reverse design. A fine beaded border encircles the entire composition. |
