| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Ferdinand IV of Naples, with flowing long hair rendered in fine strands falling to the shoulder. The portrait is presented as a truncated bust, modelled in low relief in the late Baroque tradition of Neapolitan coinage. The circular legend surrounding the effigy reads FERDINAN·IV·D·G·REX, interrupted at the base of the portrait truncation by a small floral ornament. |

| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a large bunch of grapes depicted in high relief with a detailed pelleted surface, flanked by vine leaves and a stem rising to the top of the field. The denomination numeral '4' appears to the right of the bunch and the initial 'C' (for Cavalli) to the left, each separated by a raised dot. The date 1804 is inscribed in two groups of two digits placed below the central device, divided by the grape bunch, reading '18' to the left and '04' to the right. |
