| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the royal initial 'S' for King Sebastião I, flanked by a raised point on each side, rendered in a bold, cursive style typical of hammered Portuguese colonial coinage. The letter occupies nearly the entire flan, with the two flanking pellets serving as decorative punctuation marks. The overall design is simple and heraldic in character, consistent with the utilitarian nature of bazaruco coinage struck at the Goa mint. |
