Obverse description Central field bears a multi-line Urdu legend reading 'Asaf Jah, Nizam Al-Mulk Bahadur', with the Persian letter 'M' (standing for 'Mahbub') positioned above the 'k' of 'Mulk'. The numeral '92', a well-known abjad representation of the name 'Muhammad', appears in the upper portion of the legend. The AH date 1318 is divided and displayed in the lower portion of the field. The entire design is enclosed within a decorative scalloped or wavy border typical of Hyderabad State coinage.
