Obverse description Central shield bearing the arms of Lübeck — a divided field with vertical stripes — displayed within an ornate baroque cartouche. The legend GELDT COURANT flanks the shield horizontally across the field, with the date 1752 inscribed to the left and the denomination inscription SCHILLING arranged vertically above the shield, flanked by foliate scrollwork. The mintmaster's initials J.J.J. appear in the lower field. The overall design reflects the civic heraldic tradition characteristic of German Free Imperial City coinage of the mid-eighteenth century.
