Obverse description Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed at center, with spread wings, each head facing outward, surmounted by a single imperial crown; on the breast, an orb. The eagle's talons grip a sword to the right and a scepter to the left. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the design, reading CAROLUS VI D.G. ROM. IMP. SEMP. AUG., referencing Emperor Charles VI.

Reverse description Central field bears the elaborately helmeted coat of arms of Hamburg — the white castle on red — framed by ornate Baroque acanthus scrollwork mantling. The date is divided to the left and right of the shield. Below the arms, an oval cartouche contains the value inscription '32 SCHILL' with the mintmaster's initials 'I·H·L·' beneath. A circular Latin legend surrounds the composition reading HAMBURGER CURR. GELDT.
