| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field displays a multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh script, arranged across two or three registers and separated by horizontal ruled lines. The inscription reads 'Al-Khalifa Amir al-Mu'minin khulidat khilafatahu' (The Caliph, Commander of the Faithful, may his caliphate endure), a formulaic acknowledgment of Abbasid suzerainty standard on Jaunpur Sultanate coinage. The bold, deeply struck lettering fills the field to the edges of the irregularly shaped flan, consistent with the hammered technique employed throughout the reign of Ibrahim Shah (AH 804-844). |
