| Obverse description | The central field displays the Royal Arms of Bhutan, featuring the double vajra (dorje) flanked by two highly detailed Druk dragons rampant, all set above a lotus blossom at the base. Two additional mythical birds (garuda-like figures) occupy the upper flanking positions, and a flaming jewel surmounts the central device. Small asterisk ornaments are distributed around the inner border. The Dzongkha legend འབྲུག་ཡུལ།། appears in the upper field above the central device, and the Latin legend KINGDOM OF BHUTAN is inscribed along the lower rim. |
