| Obverse description | The obverse depicts the interior face of a Viking wooden shield, rendered in high relief with a highly realistic wood-grain texture across the field. The central boss area features an intricately detailed iron grip bar, secured by a circular iron boss with rivets, the grip wrapped in braided wire. Above and below the boss, the grip terminates in finely engraved knotwork finials in the Norse decorative tradition. The surrounding legend reads REPUBLIQUE • DU • CAMEROUN • 2020 in the upper arc and 3000 • FRANCS • CFA in the lower arc, all in Latin script on a raised border. |
