| 背面描述 | The stylised skyline of Shanghai is depicted along the lower register of the rectangular flan, featuring the distinctive silhouette of the Oriental Pearl Tower and surrounding high-rise buildings. Above the skyline, the field is filled with an intricate geometric lattice pattern of intersecting curved and straight lines rendered on a wavy background, evoking the urban grid and dynamic growth of the city. At the lower centre, a small circular cartouche bears the iridium element symbol IR. The legend NOBLE BAR appears in the upper portion of the design. |

Cameroon has issued commemorative coins through the Monnaie de Paris and various private minting houses under licensing arrangements that, frankly, prioritize novelty over numismatic tradition. This "Shanghai" piece belongs to a wave of exotic-metal-plated issues marketed heavily to European collectors around 2019–2021, with iridium plating chosen almost entirely for its rarity mystique — iridium being one of the densest and least abundant elements on Earth, a byproduct of platinum refining with essentially no coinage history prior to these collector issues.
The 3000 Francs denomination has no meaningful relationship to Cameroon's actual CFA franc monetary system.
