| Beschrijving keerzijde | A front-facing astronaut in a full EVA pressure suit is depicted in high relief against a lunar surface background, occupying virtually the entire field of the coin. The visor of the helmet is rendered with a colored green insert simulating the gold-tinted visor reflective lens, providing a striking contrast to the antique silver finish of the surrounding metalwork. Fine detail is visible throughout the suit's life-support equipment, gloves, and fabric folds, conveying a strong sense of realism. The inscription APOLLO 11·1969 appears vertically along the left field in raised Latin lettering. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Cameroon has no meaningful connection to the Apollo program, but the country's liberal licensing of its mint authority has made it a prolific source of commemorative issues for the international collector market. These coins are produced entirely for export — no Cameroonian ever spent one — with designs and themes contracted out to European minting houses, predominantly in Poland and Germany, capitalizing on the 50th anniversary commemorative wave that swept the numismatic market in 2019.
