Cameroon has issued commemorative coinage under its own authority since independence, but the country's name has also appeared on a long-running series of large-format silver issues produced entirely for the European collector market, with no meaningful connection to Cameroonian monetary policy or public circulation. The "Kama Sutra" series falls squarely into this category — legal-tender face values assigned by agreement, coins struck at private mints, distributed exclusively through numismatic dealers in Western Europe.
